Nothing is sent before consent
ARAM does not download the Google Analytics script or send an analytics request to Google before you allow analytics. The choice itself is stored in this browser's localStorage only as granted or denied.
Information collected after consent
- Page paths with query strings and fragments removed, plus page titles
- General device information such as browser, operating system, and screen size
- Approximate region, referral source, and visit time
- Download platform and Stable or Nightly channel
- Web-player launches, language switches, and clicks to ARAM GitHub repositories
This information is used only to understand which documents are useful, which platform downloads people need, and where visitors encounter problems so ARAM can improve. External referrers are reduced to their origin without a path.
Information not collected
Ad storage, ad user data, ad personalization, and Google Signals are disabled in code. ARAM does not create user accounts or analytics user IDs. Enhanced measurement is also kept disabled in the Google Analytics web stream so it does not independently create automatic events containing link URLs or filenames.
Google Analytics and cookies
After consent, Google Analytics 4 may set _ga family cookies to distinguish visits. The site requests a maximum cookie lifetime of 180 days. Google processes analytics data, and actual event-data retention follows the ARAM Google Analytics property setting.
Read the Google Privacy Policy and Google Analytics data safeguards for details.
Withdraw consent
Select Analytics settings at the lower left of a page and choose Decline. ARAM changes the saved choice, removes _ga family cookies for its domain, and reloads the page. Analytics stays disabled until you allow it again.
